It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I write to let you know that we have lost a great friend...as our buddy, Paul Hurran took his own life yesterday.
We will all remember Paul as a person with a heart as big as anyone anywhere, always there ready and willing to do whatever was asked of him. Always with a smile and sincerity. He was an amazing, giving person in this troubled world of ours. Paul was special.
Paul was a great thinker and doer. I will always remember whenever having him sit in on important business dinners without hesitation, Paul would chime in with a wonderful idea. Even if it was a bit off the mark, I always got this feeling of being proud of him, never embarrassed and always glad to have him around.
Paul was a very big help to me over the past few years with our tours and shows with Ian Mitchell, James, Danny and others. As part of the PHP crew, Paul was key with our many corporate and charitable events. We truly "couldn't have done it without him" as Paul would drive the truck, move gear, tend to my kit, the stage, the lights and of course as our beloved "valet".
Paul became a member of my family as someone even DINA liked and took into our home. Paul was very good to my children as Madison, Brooke, Olivia and Amanda all were tickled when Paul would bound into the house, usually with a special gift in hand...or just with his infectious smile and laugh.
I will miss Paul very much as I know those of you who knew him will.
Please fee free to contact me as funeral arrangements are in the process of being arranged.
