The
Other Side of Our Story

On September 11, 2001 the Hackel family experienced the tragic loss of Paige Farley Hackel.
Paige was on her way to California with best friend Ruth McCourt Clifford plus Ruth's four year old daughter (and Paige’s God Child) Juliana for a surprise trip to Disney Land and to meet with Deepak Chopra concerning Paige’s new syndicated radio program "Spiritually Speaking".
On the morning of the 11th, all three left Paige and Allan's (Peter’s Father) Newton home for the drive to Logan. Although their destination was the same, the two friends chose to use frequent flyer miles on separate airlines. Paige was booked on American fight #11 while Ruth and Juliana were on United flight #175.
Ironically, in New York, Ruth's brother Ron Clifford had arrived at the World Trade Center from his home in New Jersey 15 minutes early for a business meeting. As he paced the lobby waiting, he felt the building shake. It was Paige's plane crashing into the North Tower. Ron was helping a woman out of the building when he saw a plane that unbeknownst to him, was carrying his sister and niece crash into the South Tower.
The foundation of PH Productions was hence born and since 9/11, Peter, Rob and the entire PH Productions team have dedicated the vast majority of their time and musical energy working on behalf of worthy causes they feel Paige would have supported if she were still alive.
